Real Mallorca – Mallorcas football team!

In Spain football is a great passion, also on Mallorca. The focus is obviously the Spanish league, La Liga. In La Liga, you can enjoy high-quality football from teams like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao and Real Mallorca.
If you go on holiday to Mallorca between September and May, there are great opportunity to see Real Mallorca play any of their home games at Son Moix Stadium just outside Palma.

Real Mallorca was founded on 5 March 1916. 2003 the team won the Spanish Cup, Copa del Rey by defeating Recreativo de Huelva with 3-0 in the final. In the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1999, Real Mallorca qualified to the finals, but were defeated by the Italian Lazio. That the team ended up in the final was somewhat surprising. In La Liga, the team best managed in a third place 1998/1999.
